MISSION STATEMENT
In order to prepare our children to be productive and responsible citizens, the Mission of the Little Egg Harbor Township School District is to create and maintain a collaborative learning environment which fosters individual abilities and encourages all children to achieve their highest potential with the expectation that all students will meet the grade level benchmarks set forth in the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards (NJCCCS).
GENERAL INFORMATION
The George J. Mitchell Elementary School is a Pre-school to Grade Six school building. The student population is approximately 900 students. Our class sizes range from 15 to 26.
In addition to the regular instructional program, the following programs are available to students enrolled in our schools:

|

|

Our district personnel strongly believe that parent/guardian participation in each child's school experience plays a vital role in the success of each child. A healthy relationship between the home and the school supports a positive learning environment. Parents/guardians are invited to take an active role in our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and our Parents in Education (P.I.E.) Program.
Here at the George J. Mitchell Elementary School, we feel it is very important to go over school rules with your children/students. Below are the school and class rules.
