We are students from the Little Egg Harbor Intermediate School.  Our group is made up of six people. Our names are Amber, Kyle, Angela, Alex, Lexi, and our teacher Ms. Moore. She taught us everything we know.  All six of us got together over the summer and decided to hunt down some history of Tuckerton, and post it here. We made this website for you to learn some interesting things about our local community.  Our search began at the Tuckerton Seaport, where we explored replicas of places along the Jersey shore, and on Tucker's Island. We learned a lot about Tuckerton's history.  We found many different interesting things at the seaport, but we only chose three main subjects: the Hester Sedge Gunning Shack, Shipbuilding, and Horseshoe Crabs.

We worked on laptops to research and write about our topics after visiting the Tuckerton Seaport a few times.  Kyle and Alex researched ship building, Angela and Amber covered the Gunning Shack and some of the Horseshoe crabs, and Lexi mainly researched Horseshoe crabs. We took many pictures you'll see on the site that include shots inside the Gunning Shack, shots of Spike the horseshoe crabs,  shots of boats being built in the boat works building, and plus extra shots of little details you'll find in the gunning shack.  We won't spoil the whole trip for you, so head on to other parts of the site and explore for yourself!!
